5 Responses for "Is A Simple Glucose Test Can Diagnose Diabete?"
Yes, your fine as far as diabetes is concerned. Just panic attacks. Take your meds. And take care>
Just wanted to clarify…
On that note, modifying your diet to regulate blood sugars is one very important step in managing panic attacks. If you’d like some tips on this, please feel free to email me.
One FASTING GLUCOSE CHALLENGE blood test is sufficient to diagnose diabetes if the glucose level is above 6.9 (Canadian reference figure.)
A simple glucose test (or a “finger prick” glucose test) cannot be used to diagnose Diabetes Mellitus because there are too many uncontrolled contributing factors.
It’s not uncommon for hypoglycemia to mimic (or even trigger) panic attacks. Similarly, high intermittent glucose levels can trigger a panic attack. So it makes sense that they’d check your blood glucose.
it depends on the test they do.
If it was an A1C that would probably be enough to diagnose diabetes, other test, possibly as well.
However your symptoms sound more like something other than diabetes.
Yes, one test will confirm it. If your really concerned ask your Physician if you can get check your A1C.
you describe panic disorder, not diabetes. And yes, one glucose test done at the right time can indicate diabetes.
